Our Story
Founded with the vision of introducing authentic South Indian cuisine to Japan, Koko Groups began with recognizing a significant gap in the market. While Japanese consumers have embraced Indian food, most restaurants focus exclusively on North Indian cuisine, leaving the rich and diverse South Indian culinary tradition largely unexplored.
Our founder, Sathish Kumar, saw an opportunity to share the distinctive flavors of South India—where fermented rice and lentil preparations, coconut-infused curries, and complex spice blends create dishes unlike anything else in Indian cuisine. What began as a passionate mission to share his cultural heritage has grown into Koko Groups, a multi-faceted business bringing authentic South Indian experiences to Japan.
